Sawmill Operator

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $40,000 – $60,000 / year (depending on experience) + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Job Description

We are seeking dependable team members to join our sawmill operations. In this role, you will work directly with our production equipment and materials to ensure quality lumber output. Key responsibilities include:

  • Sorting and grading processed lumber

  • Safely operating specialized machinery, including the edger, mat drill, and trimsaw

  • Operating forklifts to move timber, supplies, and finished products throughout the yard

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

  • No experience needed — entry-level applicants welcome; we provide full on-the-job training

  • Strong work ethic: reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable CDL Driver to manage local transport of timber and wood products. Enjoy steady hours and guaranteed daily home time on local routes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Transporting logs, landscape mulch, wood chips, and finished lumber safely to local destinations

  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

  • Securing loads properly to ensure safe transit

  • Maintaining clear communication with dispatch and yard management

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience required

  • Highly dependable, punctual, and trustworthy

  • Strong communication skills

  • Self-motivated, safe driver with a solid commitment to team success

  • Clean driving record and valid Commercial Driver’s License
